What is a Zine?
A "zine," short for "fanzine," is a type of publication, often in booklet form, produced by fans and centered around a certain theme. This publication can be digital or physical. It usually contains art, writing, and sometimes also includes merchandise. A zine can be profit or nonprofit depending on the creators.So, What is Deerzou? Why Deerzou?
"Deerzou" is how the fandom has begun to refer to Heizou as a deer kemonomimi type character! The idea comes from his constellation being a deer, as well as the "shika" in his name (shikanoin), which translates to "deer!" Deerzou has become beloved by many among Heizou fans and so we'd like to dedicate this zine to him!Will this be a Physical or Digital Zine?
We would like to aim for a physical zine printed in A5 format, but it depends on how the interest check goes! If there is enough interest, we will work towards a physical release with physical merch, otherwise it will be a paid digital download with digital merch such as icons, emotes, etc.Will You Open Applications?
Deer Diary was initiated as a project between a close group of friends and as such, we intend for the project to be invitation based. This is due to it being our first project and a lot of us have little to no prior fanzine modding experience. As such we wish to keep things stress-free for us and the other contributors, thus it would most likely remain as an invite-only project between friends and other writers/artists whose names are brought to us through the interest check. We seek for your understanding on this matter and hope you may continue to support the project!

Is the Zine's Content Limited Only to Heizou?
This zine is centered around Heizou, so all pieces must have Heizou as a central character. However, other characters may also be included in pieces to accompany him.Will There be Ship-Related Content?
Writers and artists may include Heizou ships in their pieces as they please— However, Heizou must be the central focus. The zine is not centered around any one ship, and if a contributor decides to include ship content in their work it's entirely their own preferences. All Heizou ships are welcome!Is This Zine Purely SFW, or Will it Include NSFW?
At the moment, this zine is purely SFW. There are no plans to include NSFW, and there are no plans for a NSFW side zine.
